Richmond players emerged unscathed from a practice match at Craigieburn’s Highgate Reserve yesterday.
The Tigers had their biggest hitout of the pre season, against VFL affiliate Coburg, in front of a large contingent of fans.
The match gave the coaching staff a chance to see the club’s newest draftees in action before next week’s opening round NAB Cup encounter with Hawthorn in Tasmania (February 13).
Players were used on a rotational basis in a five-period match, and almost the entire squad participated, with Troy Simmonds, Nathan Foley and Daniel Jackson among those not to take the field.
